Exit polls suggest that Dutch voters have rejected EU treaty, dollar rose against Euro on the worries of future direction of EU expansion. Specualtion and Market enthusiasm for the Fed to rest current tightening is running wild as reflected in the averages. The latest data from ISM suggest that manufacturing is growing at a slower pace and that may convicne Fed to not tighten for now. Fed has raised interest rate by eight 25 basis points since June 2004. 10-year bond fell to 3.9%.

April durable orders released by Commerce Department today failed to restrain sellers in the market. The 1.9% rise would have been 0.2% decline without the rise in volatile transportation orders. Oil hovering around $50 did not give any margin of comfort to traders. Market remains on the defensive.
